Improving Healthcare Delivery In Africa

Our work is motivated by the power of research in the health sciences and the ability to implement research innovations using the design thinking approach to develop tools and provide local solutions to health in Africa by improving the health delivery system.

At StradMed Innovations, we are strategically bridging healthcare together with our trained volunteers, and emerging innovators, by partnering with health professionals, health scientists, researchers, institutions, research centers and NGOs to review, research, implement and provide local solutions and improve health care delivery in Africa.

Research

The research process in Design Thinking is an essential part of the creative process. It involves gathering and analysing data to gain a deeper understanding of the problem and the people who are affected by it. This data can be collected through interviews, and observations.

Create a Persona

A key component of this process is the creation of a persona, which is a representation of the target user of a product or service. The persona process involves gathering data about the user, such as their demographics, needs, motivations, and behaviours. This data is then used to create a detailed profile of the user, which can be used to inform product design decisions.

Ideation

This stage often involves a great deal of creativity and collaboration, as designers work together to come up with as many ideas as possible. Ideation can take many forms, including brainstorming sessions, sketching, prototyping, and other techniques for generating and testing ideas. The goal of ideation is to explore a wide range of potential solutions and identify the most promising ideas to pursue.

Prototyping

Prototyping is a term used in the design thinking process to describe the creation of a physical or digital model of a proposed solution. Prototyping allows designers to test their ideas and gather feedback from users, which can help to refine and improve the design. Prototyping can take many forms, including creating physical models, building digital simulations, or developing a rough version of the solution.

Testing

Testing can take many forms, including user interviews, focus groups, or usability studies. The goal of testing is to gather feedback from users about the design and to use this feedback to refine and improve the solution. Testing is an important part of the design thinking process, as it allows designers to validate their assumptions about user needs and to ensure that their solutions are effective and desirable.

Feedback

In the design thinking process, feedback is often used to identify any issues or challenges with the design, and to guide the development of future iterations of the solution. By incorporating feedback from users into the design process, designers can create solutions that are better tailored to the needs and preferences of their intended users.
